What it's all about

From the dawn of time, humans have believed in a higher force -- a power greater than themselves that guides their everyday lives. Through religion, philosophy, science and superstition, we have sought the answers to the big questions of life, and tried to understand our place in the cosmos. For thousands of years, many of us have looked to the heavens for answers, often to no avail.
In the past 100 years, it has become clear that the answers are in the stars -- not in the heavenly bodies that populate our own and more distant galaxies, but in the heavenly bodies of the rich and famous here on Earth. From the day in 1934 that Clark Gable ripped off his shirt in It Happened One Night -- revealing a naked torso, and (according to popular legend) sales of male undershirts plummeted -- it's been clear that there is a power greater than us all. Call it hype, call it marketing, call it nonsense, but it exists.
Celebology is the art of making sense of the movements of the stars and placing them into a context that can have a real and meaningful impact on the lives of mere mortals. In these blogs and vodcast, I will be delving into the rarefied world of celebrity and, in 500 words or less, I will provide some spiritual nourishment for us all.
