Cruising is said to be the fastest growing segment of the tourism industry. It’s no surprise why.
In case you have reservations about making a reservation on a ship, here are some good reasons why sailing is the answer.
It’s all-inclusive (more or less). The price you pay includes everything you need, if not everything you want, out of a holiday. You get accommodation, as much food as you can eat, entertainment and a few ports of call. On most cruise lines, you will pay extra for alcohol, internet, shore excursions and tips, but some are truly all-inclusive.
Packing and repacking isn’t a problem. You unpack once and let the destinations come to you*.
You can do it your own way. Dress up for fine dining, or go to the buffet in your beach wear. Lazing in the lounge, or on a zip line. There’s an option to suit everybody.
The entertainment is free. Live music, dance performances, magic, comedy … it’s all there, and the standard is generally very high.
You can do it on almost any budget. Where else can you holiday for less than $100 per person per day? Or pay $1000 a day or more if you want the best cabin on the boat, with your own butler, a baby grand piano, personal spa and a view that goes forever.
*Not technically true, but you know what I mean.
