Savona is everything Genoa promised to be, but wasn’t for me. The harbour area has been rejuvenated beautifully, with the old and new blending to make a chic dining and residential area.
I wandered around, ate very well and felt very much at home. And my hotel, the NH Savona Darsena, is just a short stroll to the cruise terminal where, later today, I will be boarding the Costa Diadema.
